The Cost of Living As a generalization, if something costs £1 in England, the same item will cost €1 in Spain. Basic food items such as bread, milk etc... are even cheaper when compared with the UK. The big hyper-markets in Almeria offer the best value, but even the small shops have excellent prices. Eating out is also cheaper than in the UK, an average 3-course evening meal costs around €20 per person.

Getting There Our apartment is about a 50 minute drive from Almeria airport, over two hours from Alicante and Malaga.  Many airlines fly to Almeria and if you plan ahead you can get some great deals.
